Extremely Effective Effective Tips for Monetizing Ads on Your Blog

Is your blog not getting the return you thought it would? Are you not earning nearly enough? Well, I'm glad you're here. On this post, I have compiled a list, from around the internet, of extremely effective tips to monetize your blog in order to earn more and worry less.

The Basics

If you are here, then you probably already have ads on your blog, but they aren't generating the income you need. Well, first let's cover the basics.

You get paid from ads in 2 ways, CPM and CPC. CPM stands for "cost per 1,000," which means how much you are going to get paid for 1,000 impressions, or views, of that ad. The average CPM around the web is about $1. CPC stands for "cost per click," which means how much you are going to get paid if someone clicks on the ad. CPC can be anywhere from $0.20 to $50, depending on the ad. Earning $50 if someone clicks on the ad is very very rare.

Highest Paying Keywords

Now that you know the basics, to be successful, you have to understand that certain keyword ads pay more than others. For example, an ad relating to the keyword, insurance, is probably going to pay more than an ad relating to the keyword, recipe. See the infographic below, for the top 20 most expensive keywords in Google Adwords.

As you can see, keywords relating to money, finance, and medical, pay the most. So, if you have a financial or medical blog, you're lucky, you already have high paying keywords to use. For some blogs, it is going to be harder to make that extra money, but that doesn't mean you can't do it. Try writing a few articles, with keywords that you know pay well, and see if your audience enjoys these articles. If they like it, that's great, if they don't, then write content that they do enjoy, and work on better ad placement to make up the difference.

Ad Placement, Type, and Size

Nobody likes obnoxious ads, so don't make them obnoxious. A well placed ad can increase your revenue by as much as 50%. A great ad is an ad that relates to your article, is the correct size, is in the right place, and gives your reader something, or solves a problem for them. That is the key. Ads that don't solve problems, or give your reader something extra, aren't worth displaying. The next step is the placement and size of your ad. Google has a help page that shows the best size and placements, access it here- https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/17955?hl=en

Diversify Your Ads

One of the biggest mistake is only enabling image-based ads. You can increase your revenue by 30% just by enabling text-based ads in addition to image based ones. Also, if an ad is doing well, keep showing it, if it's not, change it to a different ad, or remove it all together.

Ad Networks

There are many good ad networks, with the most popular being Google Adsense, however this may not be the best ad network for you. I have listed a few of the ad networks below. Please review them, so you can pick the best one for you.

Best Way to Make Money As a Kid (Adults too!)

This is not a sponsored post.

This post is going to be about the best way to make money as a kid, in my opinion. This does require some time and personal info, but if you do it daily, you can really boost your earnings. Many people use this method everyday to make a lot of money and buy the things they want.

You might've heard about this already because paid surveys are all the buzz nowadays, but they have a reason to be. Think about this: you just got home from school, or work, and while everyone you know is on their phones or watching TV, you are earning money from simply taking surveys! It's a genius idea that helps businesses, consumers, and you.

The Way it Works

The way it works is you sign up for an account on a paid survey website (I have a couple of the best ones listed below).  During sign up you will be asked to fill out a bunch of information like: name, address, email, salary, family members, etc. It is important that you fill out the information correctly, so you are qualified for the correct surveys. After you sign up, you can start taking surveys. For every survey there is a few questions to make sure you qualify for that survey, if you don't qualify, no worries, just find another survey that you do qualify for.

How You Get Your Money

After you take a survey, on most sites you will get paid with eGifts or online gift cards, but on some sites you can also get paid with Paypal, cash coupons, and vouchers. You may be wondering "Why are they paying me?," Well the reason is that, large companies spend millions of dollars on marketing, to get people to take their surveys, in order to improve their products. By taking their surveys you are helping them improve their products, you are helping the consumers receive better products, and you are getting paid! So, go out and try it today!

Top 3 Ways to Turn $1 into $100 Within a Day!

In this list I will cover the top 3 ways that you can turn a measly $1 bill into $100 within a DAY! Some of these items aren't the easiest and require some skill, but have a great ROI. I hope you learn and use these ways!

1: Invest in Penny Stocks

Although this requires some luck and an account, investing in penny stocks could easily turn $1 into $100 within a day. In case you don't know, penny stocks are stocks, usually a few cents each, that you can trade. Some of these stocks are extremely volatile, while others stay under a cent for a year. If you pick a stock that's about 1 cent and it increase to about 5 cents, you already have $5! Then, you reinvest those $5 into another penny stock, that increase 20 times the original value, and voila, you now have $100. This looks easy on paper, but is tricky to master. For guides on how to successfully trade penny stocks I recommend checking out http://www.timothysykes.com/

2: Make a Lemonade Stand/Hot Chocolate Stand

Lemonade/Hot Chocolate Stands are usually underestimated in the amount of revenue and profit they can produce and are considered childish. However, they are fairly simple to set up and do require some free time, but you could easily make $20 in an hour. This does require some upfront costs, however you can easily get a family member or friend to loan you an extra $5 to get started. If it's summer time, set up a lemonade stand, if it's winter, set up a hot chocolate stand. For those months in-between, I recommend selling year round items like: coffee, chocolate, candy, flags, etc. If you plan on selling in the city or a town, make sure you have a seller's permit if it's required. For more info on how to really sell well, I recommend checking out http://thekrazycouponlady.com/family/10-tips-for-a-successful-lemonade-stand/.

3: Do Freelance Work

This is probably the easiest way to earn money, thanks to sites like https://www.freelancer.com/. The way this works is that you select your skills, bid on jobs, and if the customer hires you, you work and earn the money. With freelance jobs you can do anything, from write an article, to creating a logo, to fixing a sink. Many of these jobs you don't have to meet the person at all and you could make anywhere from $1 to $5000, depending on the job. However, with the free version you can only bid on 8 jobs per month, which isn't the best. There is a paid version if you plan on doing a lot of jobs though.
